We are proud to announce that during our F26 financial year, SAM has raised a total of £10,000 in support of our chosen charity partner, NSPCC.
For over 140 years, NSPCC has been the UK’s leading children’s charity, dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect. As a family-focused business, we are honoured to play a part in supporting the NSPCC’s vital work within our community.
Committed to the Cause
Over the last year, the SAM team came together to raise money and awareness through a range of fun activities and events across the business:
- May Step Challenge – To mark Mental Health Week, the team laced up their trainers and got competitive in a company-wide step challenge, clocking up plenty of kilometres along the way.
- SAM Sports Day – Our annual summer sports day brought everyone together for an afternoon of games, races, a bit of healthy competition, and a BBQ to finish off the day.
- Childhood Rewind Day – From guessing childhood photos to enjoying our favourite throwback snacks, this was a great day full of laughs and nostalgia.
- Christmas Toy Appeal – The generosity of the SAM team was incredible, with donations of toys, books, costumes and gifts helping make sure children in the community had something special to open on Christmas morning.
- Seasonal Raffles – From Halloween hampers to Christmas prizes, our raffles throughout the year helped raise even more funds for a fantastic cause.
- Guess the Sweets in the Jar – A simple but popular fundraiser that got everyone involved.
- Ulster Rugby Mascot Experience – One lucky child won the unforgettable opportunity to be a mascot at the Ulster vs Stade Français game at Affidea Stadium through a special fundraising draw.
A Proud Achievement by the SAM Team
Supporting charities and giving back to the community has always been an important part of life at SAM. Throughout the year, the team embraced every opportunity to come together, raise awareness and support the NSPCC through a variety of fundraising activities and events. From fun challenges in the workplace to seasonal campaigns, the support shown across the business was incredible.
The success of these initiatives would not have been possible without the enthusiasm, generosity and teamwork of staff across every department. Not only did the campaigns raise valuable funds for the NSPCC, but they also brought colleagues together and created plenty of memorable moments along the way.
“It was a pleasure to organise campaigns in support of the NSPCC, a charity dedicated to protecting children, preventing abuse, and supporting young people and families across the UK. Every campaign was a real example of teamwork from all staff at SAM, providing a great opportunity to get together and have fun while contributing to such an important cause. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who got involved, raised awareness and made donations. Your efforts have made a lasting impact.”

A Heartfelt Thank You from NSPCC
As the UK’s leading children’s charity for over 140 years, the work of NSPCC is invaluable across many communities. They offer support for children, parents and entire families, covering areas like abuse, social media, young carers, bereavement and more.
Our fundraising efforts will help NSPCC to continue to offer a helpline with advice and support for thousands of parents, children, young people, professionals and families. Our contribution ensures that the NSPCC can continue to work closely with schools, offer NSPCC Learning and provide face-to-face services across the country. This is just a small example of the fantastic work they do with the help of community donations.
“We are incredibly grateful to SAM Mouldings for choosing the NSPCC Northern Ireland as their Charity of the Year and for their very generous donation of £10,000 to support local services. This support will help us continue our vital work to protect children and provide families with the help they need, when they need it most. On behalf of everyone at the NSPCC, thank you to the team at SAM Mouldings for their commitment to making a real difference for children locally.”
