Levi Rogers, Founder of 501 Properties, created the business with the key intention of helping people navigate the construction industry, particularly for those renovating their own homes. Since then, 501 Properties has developed into a well-established business in Northern Ireland, delivering projects at home and in Great Britain. With years of industry experience and a skilled team of trades professionals, Levi’s own house renovation was perhaps her most personal to date, transforming the space into a home that would reflect her personality and style.
The Aim of the Project
For this renovation project, Levi was able to use her years of industry expertise along with her trusted team of trade professionals to bring her vision to life. The goal was to create two spaces that would combine style and practicality, using bespoke storage solutions designed for everyday living. To achieve something truly unique, Levi worked with Exclusive Cabinetry Ltd to bring the vision to reality. Using a range of SAM MDF mouldings, the team cut and crafted individual components to create bespoke cabinet designed tailored to each room. Attention to detail was key in this project, with carefully considered features creating distinctive designs that enhanced the character of both rooms.
Bespoke Designs using SAM MDF Mouldings
Exclusive Cabinetry chose a range of SAM dado rail, architrave and cornice profiles to create the bespoke design. With a clear vision, the team carefully cut and combined the profiles to create a layered detailed finish. By using multiple SAM profiles together, they were able to create a completely bespoke feature on each unit to elevate the overall finish. The result is a practical and visually striking unit, expertly finished and able to stand the test of time.
Choosing SAM MDF Mouldings
The customer wanted to ensure the right materials were selected for the job. The mouldings needed to be flexible in design while maintaining a high-quality finish, without the requirement for made to order items or long lead times.
“For this project, we needed detailed mouldings that were versatile, good quality and readily available,” says Adam of Exclusive Cabinetry, “SAM offered a variety of decorative profiles that could be ordered online in smaller quantities which worked well for us.”
For the units downstairs, the team used SAM37 Dado Rail was used to create detailing on the doors, while SAM5651 Classic Architrave and SAM3770 Cornice worked together to create a bespoke cornice design for the top.
In the bedroom, the wardrobe featured SAM37 Dado Rail on the front of the drawers and doors with the addition of SAM5651 Classic Architrave for extra detailing on the top. The end result shows the real versatility of SAM products and how standard profiles can be transformed to create custom, bespoke finishes.
Creating Custom Cabinetry with MDF Mouldings
With SAM MDF mouldings, Exclusive Cabinetry were able to create detailing for the cabinetry for a truly bespoke design. The smooth, defect free surface meant cutting and working with the product was more simple than alternative options. Supplied pre-primed with a smooth, consistent surface, SAM MDF mouldings help reduce preparation time during installation. Once the bespoke profiles had been created in their workshop, the team at Exclusive Cabinetry were able to lightly sand the profile before applying the final coat of paint to match the interior.
